East London baby and kids' classes boosting expression through play.

Hi,
Pleased to meet you!
You are going to be one of the people who teaches your baby how to communicate, with or without support. The ideas and principles we practice together in class are designed to make that process (that is already happening) feel easier and more fulfilling. There are no measurements or assessments happening in class.
Now for some details to reassure you that we are doing impactful and powerful things...
My qualifications
and experience...
- a Masters in Inclusive Education from University College London.
- 7 years teaching languages at Secondary in Tower Hamlets.

How the class came into existence...
The idea for this class grew out of my fascination with language development, and a strong desire to teach my own child to self-advocate. I was making activities at home using what I'd learnt from studying and teaching, and I got a lot of satisfaction watching my baby learn in front of my eyes.
I started to wonder if anyone else would like these activities, and also, wanting some personal development alongside full-time parenting, I decided to create Babble Boost. I am so grateful to all the families who've made these classes come alive, given me so much personal development in the process, and also just pure joy!
A couple of "governing principles"...
I think parenting and childcare is widely under-valued and disrespected. I want these classes to be one of the spaces where working with children is given the full and complete respect it really deserves.
Lastly, I want families to know that I believe primary carers know their child best. I might have read a lot of books, but I could never know your child like you do, and so you are always the expert on your baby. I believe this goes for all professionals who bring expertise to work alongside the carers' knowledge.
A little more about me...
I am proud to say that I am neurodivergent in a few different ways, and am motivated to support the growing resistance to ableism and neuro-normativity. So, I want my approach to learning and teaching to be reflective of neuro-affirming practice, which is only made possible thanks to the writers, researchers and teachers who have educated me, and allowed me to be critical of education practices that don't fit with my values.
Lastly - I benefit from several privileges which allow me greater freedom in a hierarchical society. I may well exhibit ignorance towards experiences that are outside of my own, and commit micro-aggressions. When this happens, if you are willing to offer me a learning opportunity, I would be grateful for you expanding my awareness. You can do this anonymously via the contact form, or if you would like a response, do include your email address. Thank you for your time and emotional energy.
Nice one! Keep it silly!
